I know many of you are fans of the dashing Captain Edgerton – I am myself! Whenever my characters find themselves in a tight spot, they know they can send for the captain, and he will arrive, armed with his trusty sword and a pocketful of pistols, to save the day. If it’s a legal problem, his friend Mr Willerton-Forbes is your man, and fellow lawyer Mr Neate is always available to unobtrusively listen in to the gossip in an inn tap toom, or pick a lock.
